The Overwhelming Weight of Clarity
Isn't it interesting to see that both our brazilian government and the american government seem to go unharmed through its hugest display of corruption and incompetence? Why do both our people and the american people seem to simply "sit and do nothing", despite the absurd amount of information to which all of us have access and that justify, by large, a major effort to take drastic measures in order to demand a decent government conduct?
I think our society is still overwhelmed with the responsibility that the access to information brings us. We are paralyzed by the possibilites, unable to filter them out, to take the most obvious attitudes.
I also do believe, however, that this is only a phase, a sort of "rite of passage" through which we, as a global society, have to pass; in order to realize our power to be in control of those who supposedly are in control.
It is information that brings power, ergo responsibility. Let the people slowly learn how to deal with this responsibility by taking action, by speaking their minds, by shouting out the obvious wherever it is necessary. Once we get over this initial numbness, there will be no stopping to the colective voice. We are inevitably a part of this. Sooner or later, it will be clear to us all.
